Photographer Keith Taylor reports for Liberate Art, Inc. on the July 2 heavy metal concert of Dee Snider (formerly of Twisted Sister) in Tel Aviv.
Snider received thunderous applause when he told the packed audience he regretted not having been here before, “couldn’t even work out why considering there were two ****ing Jews in the band.”

The heavy metal musician went on to say that while he was born Snider, he was in fact brought up Catholic and sang in the church choir. He joked, “What do you expect when your mother is …what do they call that word,.. not goy… the nasty one… ah yes, shiksa,” generating even greater applause.
Snider was thrilled to be there and played with great energy, talking to small kids and to the audience like an old friend.
The band played solid metal rock for an hour and a half, and the audience loved it.
