Arabs Torch Home in Havat Gilad, Killing Dog

Source: Arutz Sheva
By Gil Ronen

The flames of the newest Arab "intifada" uprising reached two Jewish farms in Judea and Samaria Tuesday. Arabs burned down a home in Havat Gilad, in Samaria. They apparently come from the nearby village of Farata, and made their escape after setting the isolated structure on fire. Residents of the Jewish farm gave chase and there were physical altercations between them and Arab villagers.

News agency "Hakol HaYehudi" reported that Havat Gilad residents tried to put out the fire but the home burned down completely. A dog that was tied next to the home died in the blaze.

Havat Gilad residents have issued a call to Jews in the area to come assist them in safeguarding the community.

Security forces arrested three Arabs as suspects in setting fire to the home. They will be taken to interrogation at the Judea and Samaria police station.

There have also been clashes between Jews and Arabs Tuesday at Havat Maon, in the southern Hevron Hills. The fighting was over pasture land. An Arab was lightly hurt when Jewish residents threw rocks at him. He was evacuated to a hospital by the Red Crescent. Arabs also threw rocks at Jewish residents. Army and police forces arrived on the scene.

Arab attacks against Jews have become increasingly brazen and frewquent in recent weeks, in what nationalists say is a new intifada born of the Arabs' perception of Jewish weakness in the wake of the Shalit Deal.

The Obama Domino Doctrine: Pro-Iran/Anti-Saudi

As a rule, I don’t traffic in conspiracy theories and think it’s a waste of time to pursue them. But the piece below written by a serious young attorney, Mark Langfan, presents a strong case that could plausibly be more than a “theory.” It stopped me in my tracks.

Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be in Washington, DC to address the AIPAC Conference on March 5. President Obama will also be speaking at the Conference. In preparation for this meeting, AIPAC officials have put out ridiculous messages about Pres. Obama being Israel's best friend. That is so absurd in light of Obama's treatment of PM Netanyahu and the issue of Iran's nuclear build-up.

Many important articles have been written about Obama's record of anti-Israel policies and rhetoric. Find below a most damning article by Mark Langfan which exposes Obama's pro-Iran domino doctrine for the Muslim world. Langfan, known for his extraordinary maps depicting the dangers of the "two-state solution" for Israel, (www.marklangfan.com), and his insightful articles, nails it this time. He clearly explains the battle waging between Shiites and Sunnis. He clarifies the Obama intolerance of the Sunni Egyptian President, Hosni Mubarek, and tolerance for the Shiite/Alawite Syrian dictator Assad, who is butchering his Sunni population. It is clear that Obama has been sabotaging Israel's efforts to deal with the Iranian nuclear threat. Mark Langfan helps us understand the Obama game plan.

The Obama Domino Doctrine: Pro-Iran/Anti-Saudi
By: Mark Langfan

Obama has his own Domino Doctrine for the Muslim world. As a consequence of this doctrine, Obama's Iranian Nuclear policy can be summed up as "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing" and Saudi Arabia is in even more danger than Israel.

Remember, for one second, in January 2011, before even a dozen demonstrators were killed, a small herd of camel-riding Mubarakists rode into Tahrir Square trampling some protesters underfoot, and Obama immediately flew into an apoplectic rage, gliding close to personally claiming that Mubarak was a war criminal for attacking peaceful "democratic" demonstrators.

But in February 2012, after  Assad has murdered over 10,000 Sunni mostly totally unarmed civilians by lobbing barrages of multiple rounds of artillery into Homs, why is Obama all but numbingly silent in-between his own barrages of multiple rounds of 18-hole golf?

The reason: the US President Obama has artfully and silently pivoted US Middle East Policy from a Pro-Saudi, Anti-Iran paradigm to a Pro-Iran, Anti-Saudi imperative.

Crazy you say?  The Dubai Police Chief Dahi Khalfan Tamim, attending at a recent Gulf security conference with US diplomats, "undiplomatically" for over 18 minutes calmly stated, in essence:

1)     "US Policy is the Number One threat" to the Gulf States;
2)     America "has realized the dreams of Iran in Iraq;"
3)     the US has "adopted the path and ideology of Khomeini;" and
4)     the US "is no longer an ally" of the Gulf States.

To frame the instant question with a sharper point:
Why did President Obama, in his 2009 Cairo Speech, pro-actively incite and reflexively, over Saudi Arabia's infinite anger, support the overthrow of President Hosni Mubarak, who was the US' stalwart Sunni American ally for over 30 years and who acted as the sole-substantial Sunni Arab counterweight to Iran? How come the Nobel Prize-winning Obama unflinchingly allows Assad, a Shiite/Alawite, confirmed state-sponsor of terror, funneler of IEDs in Iraq which murdered thousands of US soldiers, and a stalwart ally of Shiite Iran, to cold-bloodedly massacre what is now over ten thousand unarmed Sunni Muslims?

And  why did President Obama anoint the Shiite Al Maliki, a known-Iranian stooge, as the omnipotent new-Shiite Saddam of Iraq, sideline the Iraqi Sunnis, and compound the decidedly pro-Shiite tilt by tacitly handing the keys of Iraq over to Iran leaving the Sunni Gulf states to fend for themselves against the a combined Iraq/Iran Shi'ite colossus from the North and East?

Why does Obama constantly refer to the ragtag, disjointed, barely-existing Sunni al Qaeda as the "greatest threat to the US" when the Shiite Iran and its Hizbullah and Iraqi based proxies have killed many times more US soldiers and US civilians in the past 20 years than al Qaeda has, - and Iran is nearing the acquisition of nuclear bomb and constantly claiming Israel is a "cancerous tumor" that needs to be "cut out" of the Middle East?

The answer can be found in Obama' first documented foreign "policy" speech in 2002 dubbed the "Iraq War Speech" where Obama unambiguously declared:
"You want a fight, President Bush? Let's fight to make sure our so-called allies in the Middle East, the Saudis and the Egyptians, stop oppressing their own people, and suppressing dissent, and tolerating corruption and inequality. . . ." - Barack Obama's Iraq Speech dated Oct. 2, 2002

From Obama's very first recorded words on US foreign policy, Saudi Arabia, and not Iran, was to Obama, America's Number one enemy.

President Obama's inimical abhorrence of the House of Saud was further codified in US President Obama's May 19, 2011 major Foreign Policy speech where he repeatedly explicitly attacked Bahrain, Saudi's key ally, as well as again clearly targeting the "elite" Saud Family when he stated:

Prosperity also requires tearing down walls that stand in the way of progress -- the corruption of elites who steal from their people; the red tape that stops an idea from becoming a business; the patronage that distributes wealth based on tribe or sect. - NY Times, 5/19/11 "Obama's Mideast Speech"

Obama, from his 2002 speech on a Chicago  street to his 2011 speech at the State Department, sees the House of Saud as the very personification of Obama's "elites who steal from their people," and of "the patronage that distributes wealth based on tribe or sect."

But Obama's one act which symbolically crystallizes the essence of what has been, is, and will be the Obama Doctrine is Obama's very first act as US President. Obama's first act was he formally and publically returned the bust of Winston Churchill to Great Britain that had long adorned the Bush Oval Office.

Obama viscerally rejected Churchill's White House presence because it was Winston Churchill and his "Lawrence of Arabia" generation of British foreign establishment that, in effect, had "divided and conquered" the Muslim Ummah, and empowered the balkanized Sunni "elite" kingdoms at the expense of the Shi'ites and the Ottoman Empire.  While empowering the local Sunni Kingdoms, Churchill disempowered a possible unified Muslim Caliphate, and the Shi'ites.

At core, to Obama, Lawrence of Arabia wasn't a heroic liberator of Arabia, but a villainous enslaver of the Ummah.  To Obama, the Churchill's very Middle East "borders" themselves are colonial vestiges which divide and enshackle the Muslim Ummah and prevent it from achieving its true greatness and superpower status on a par with the EU, the US, China, and Russia.

Consequently, Obama, from day one of his US Presidency, has been the first anti-Winston Churchill US President. The Obama Doctrine is "Whatever Churchill did, Obama would, and will, undo."  Churchill empowered the Sunnis, Obama will dispossess the Sunnis.  Churchill created Israel, Obama will dismember Israel.

Within this tightly focused foreign policy imperative, Obama sees the total empowerment of Iran as the quickest and surest route to obliterate the shackles of the Churchill's vestigial enslaving pro-Sunni "elite" localized fiefdoms that practically prevent the unification of the Muslim Global Ummah.

As a consequence, of the "Obama Doctrine", Obama's Iranian Nuclear policy can be summed up as "full of sound and fury, signifying nothing." As a result,Obama's overall Iranian political empowerment policy in Iraq and Afghanistan and Lebanon isn't weakness, "naivete," or "vacillation," but Obama's central overarching, immutable goal.  Obama plays Turkey like the "useful idiot"  "sick man" it still is.

Yes, common Iranians are paying a lot more for bread.  Yes, the Iranian Rial is all but worthless. But by all accounts, the sanctions have only sharpened and accelerated Iran's timeline to build an atomic bomb, and stopped any attempt to militarily stop Iran's nuclear program.  Iran understands Obama's need to "false flag" Foggy Bottom and the Pentagon into believing Obama's Justice Department's sanctions are doing something.  Otherwise, Obama's  Pro-Iran policy would be impossible to hide.

With the Obama Doctrine, Obama's entire foreign policy makes sense: It explains why Obama toppled Egypt, Saudi Arabia's key Sunni ally.  In a heartbeat, Obama rendered Egypt permanently paralyzed to assist the Saudis against Iran.  As a result, Obama made the Saudis feel warm and fuzzy after the Mubarak betrayal by "selling" them 50 gazillion dollars of US weapons - that will be delivered a decade after Iran gets and uses its nukes, and successfully attacks Saudi Arabia's Eastern/Persian Gulf oil fields that hold 95% of Saudi's oil.

In accordance with this doctrine, Obama obliterated the Sunni Qaddafi with hundreds of million dollar Tomahawk missiles, deleting the precious cache of Tomahawks (for possible use  against  Iran) where there was a truly heavily armed Libyan opposition who could fight for themselves and instead left an absolute Islamist maelstrom wrapped in chaos enveloped in bedlam and mayhem.   As a result, Obama has mutely watched well over ten thousand Syrian Sunnis be massacred by Iran's Shi'ite handmaiden, Assad, and hasn't even shipped in one 5 kilometer range anti-tank weapon that would easily spay Assad's rampaging tanks and artillery.

Somehow Reagan wasn't afraid to send the Afghans anti-air stingers to down Soviet helicopters when the USSR had 5,000 ICBM nukes locked and loaded at Washington DC, but Obama is petrified to send embattled Sunni Syrian unarmed civilians a single Band-Aid, lest Obama might upset Iran and his ability to close his Iranian Nuclear Grand "Bargain" just in time for the 2012 elections.

And as a final policy puzzle piece, Obama's noisy objection to an Israeli attack on Iran is, in reality, a deafeningly silent total rejection of Saudi Arabia's push for America to militarily attack Iran. The Saudis know Iran is infinitely more of a threat to Saudi Arabia than to Israel.

Obama has publically amped up the five-alarm fire-fight with Israel to make the Iran issue appear to be an "Israel only" issue, thereby preemptively embarrassing the Saudis out of even asking for the US to strike.  For as long asObama and his minions are vituperatively publicly attacking Israel about an Israeli attack and even threatening to do a "reverse-Liberty" and shoot down attacking Israeli planes, the Saudis know they have no hope of even broaching the "Attack Iran" issue with Obama.

So for Obama it's a win-win-win, actively attack Israel, blame Israel for destabilizing the Middle East, attack Israel's American supporters as dual loyalists, and passively pre-reject the Saudis request for an attack on Iran's facilities before the Saudis even ask for one.

What all this means is Obama has quietly turned 50 years of US Foreign policy on its head without even a single congressional hearing.  If Obama isn't sending Band-Aids to Homs, he sure ain't sending Bunker-busters to Fordo.

The Egyptian "Pillar" of US strategic interests is now yesterday's dust.  The vaunted Saudi "Pillar" of US Middle East policy since World War I is now a prime US target for destruction. Israel is live bait. Obama's true foreign policy objective seems to be nothing less than the full nuclear weaponization of Iran. Anything else is a smoke-screen for Obama to look like he's doing something, but in reality he is doing nothing to stop Iran's acquisition of nuclear weapons.

In conclusion, Obama is actively "democratically" toppling all U.S. Middle East allies, and soon a nuclear-armed Iran will control 70% of the World's Oil Reserves, charging $500 a barrel for oil.

Under the Obama "Domino" Doctrine, in the not so far future, the House of Saud and all the Gulf monarchies will be the very first "elite" colonial vestiges which will have to be annihilated by Iran for Iran to unify the Muslim Ummah to achieve its historical and rightful greatness and power.  In the longer-term, once Iran has liquidated the House of Saud and acquired its limitless oil wealth, the Iranian Rial and the price of bread for the common Iranian will return to normal, andIran can the focus on destroying Israel.
And in the short-term, Obama and the world will watch Assad commit a holocaust against the unarmed Syrian Sunnis.

IDF Kills Terrorist in Sinai Border Shootout

Source: Arutz Sheva
By Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

The IDF wounded one of several terrorists in a shootout at the Sinai border Monday night, one day after foiling another bomb smuggling attempt.

The soldiers were on routine patrol when they spotted suspects who had infiltrated across the border and did not respond to orders to halt. The patrol acted according to protocol and shot towards their feet, but the terrorists opened fire and engaged the soldiers in a firefight,

One of the terrorists was wounded, and the others fled back into Egypt. The soldiers were not injured, and the terrorist later died of his wounds.

The night before, a routine patrol identified terrorists, who fled but left behind a large bag that was filled with high-powered explosives, which sappers neutralized. A similar incident occurred last week, with the IDF discovering a bag of explosives at daylight after the terrorists escaped at night.

The army has noted that Bedouin tribes are cooperating with Gaza-based terrorists, who have infiltrated into the Sinai Peninsula with explosives intended to be used for attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers.

The army has beefed up patrols along the border, where a fence is being built and is to be completed by the end of the year.

Rock Attacks Caught on Video - PA Carjacking Wave Continues - New Intifada Gains Upper Hand on IDF Restraint

Will these tragic events ever make their way through mainstream Media?  - Michelle

Source: Arutz Sheva
By Gil Ronen

Video of the rock ambush in which Arabs attacked Jewish motorists last Tuesday shows the attackers operating in the open, faces uncovered and in broad daylight, with the IDF nowhere to be seen.

The video shows attacks on several vehicles, including that of Zehava Weiss, a Jewish mother living in the Judean community of Karmei Tzur.

“If I had slowed down, I would have been trapped and blocked off,” she told Arutz Sheva. "The only thing in my mind was to proceed home and not get caught at that crossing. It was difficult to pass through as the rocks came from a distance of just a few feet from the car – 'zero range' as we say. The rioters clearly could see that the car contained two young females, defenseless. We were struck by many rocks; my view was blocked by the cracked glass.

Attacks such as these have become daily occurrences on the roads of Judea and Samaria, and photographers are often present. Yet for some reason, effective photos and videos of the attacks are rarely seen in the media.

Blogger Elder of Zion explained: "Apparently, because AP And AFP uncharacteristically released good photos of the incident, prompting Israeli media to cover the story, Channel 10 in Israel managed to find an actual videotape (since many reporters were there waiting for cars with Israeli plates to be stoned, some with video.)"

"Chances are that the tape would never have been released if it wasn't for the publicity," the blogger observed.

Arutz Sheva asked the IDF Spokesman's Unit to comment on the video. We asked -- "How is it possible that these attacks occur in broad daylight? Has the IDF lost all of its deterrence capacity?" We await answers.

PA Carjacking Wave Continues

Source: Arutz Sheva
By Maayana Miskin

Palestinian Authority thieves have continued a wave of near-daily carjack thefts that began two weeks ago – and are continuing to target lone female Israeli motorists. On Sunday, thieves went so far as to cause a collision in order to take a woman’s car.

The latest attack took place on Highway 437 near the Jewish town of Anatot in the Binyamin region. PA Arab men rammed the woman’s car. Then, when she exited her vehicle to assess the damage, they jumped into the car and drove off, leaving her stranded at the side of the road.

Miri Weitzman of Peduel in Samaria was the victim of a carjacking last week. The attack began when a car carrying PA Arab men passed her, she told Arutz Sheva.

“They looked to see who was in [my] car, and then they blocked me,” she recalled. “Two Palestinian men got out of the car, and because my doors were locked like they always are, they smashed the window. Then they opened the door and screamed at me, ‘Do you want to die?’”

The two then drove off in Weitzman’s car, leaving her alone in the dark on the side of the highway.

Just one day earlier Orli Ofir of Kedumim was dragged from her car at night by PA carjackers. She was left with injuries, and was forced to walk down the highway while hurt for roughly 15 minutes before finding help.

Samaria Regional Council head Gershon Mesika called on the heads of regional security, both police and military, to take a tough approach to the carjacking wave. “This is terrorism and it is a deadly threat,” he warned.

Terror is on the rise in Judea and Samaria. It is possible that the aftermath of freeing terrorists for Gilad Shalit's release is the cause, whether encouraged by the terrorists themselves or by the very fact of their release making IDF arrests not much of a deterrent.

New Intifada Gains Upper Hand on IDF Restraint

Source: Arutz Sheva
By Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

Violence by Arabs from Haifa to Be’er Sheva has grown into new full-blown Intifada, but so far the IDF is holding fire despite deaths in the recent  past in the same circumstances . The increasing violence is forcing the IDF to heighten its presence on the highways, and terrorists, already used to de facto control, may escalate their attacks.

Dozens of daily rock-throwing attacks on highways in Judea and Samaria were recorded the past week, causing massive damage to cars, light injuries and near death. In Haifa, two solders in civilian clothes narrowly escaped with their lives in a brutal attack that police are claiming was not nationalist and was a case of “mistaken identity.”

However, the assailants asked the two men if they were Jews before they began viciously assaulting them with clubs.

In the area of Be’er Sheva, the village of Tel Sheva has become a Hamas enclave where Israeli police rarely dare to enter. The government provides armed escorts for Jewish social and health workers who enter the Bedouin-populated area.

In Judea and Samaria, Palestinian Authority Arabs have terrorized women drivers by staging fake car accidents and then stealing their cars.

Two more Jewish residents narrowly escaped death Sunday morning when a rock ambush cut off the highway under the eyes of IDF soldiers in a “pillbox” tower on the side of the road.

The soldiers fired bullets in the air at the rate of only one minute and without any effect, Rivka Nir told Arutz Sheva. She was in a car driven by another woman on their way from Beit Haggai, immediately southwest of Hevron, to Efrat, the largest community in the Gush Etzion bloc along Highway 60.

Faced with the alternative of being attacked while standing in a lane of other cars whose drivers did not want to take the chance of failing to succeed to pass harmlessly through the maze of boulders, the two women decided to "run the gauntlet."

Nir said she encouraged the driver to try to escape, and “she pressed the gas pedal and zig-zagged her way to safety, when an IDF jeep finally approached from the other direction.”

Rock-throwing attacks, intended to cause fatal accidents, are the most violent since the Oslo War, also known as the Second Intifada, which began in September 2000, with over a thousand Israelis killed by terror acts. It never really ended, with sporadic violence that has worsened since the Palestinian Authority has failed to force Israel to accept its diplomatic and political demands. These include surrendering large areas of Jerusalem, all of Judea and Samaria, declaring Jerusalem as a divided capital, sovereignty over the Temple Mount and Old City, and the immigration to Israel of five million foreign Arabs.

The IDF’s former policy of keeping a low profile in order to avoid provoking Arabs has left a  vacuum that terrorists have exploited, particularly on Highway 60, a main artery which stretches from northern Samaria to Gush Etzion south of Jerusalem, and to Hevron-Kiryat Arba and the southern Hevron Hills. Another hot spot has been the main highway connecting Kfar Saba, on the northern edge of metropolitan Tel Aviv with central Samaria communities.

The writing was on the wall late last year, when rock-throwing terrorists scored a direct hit on the windshield of Kiryat Arba resident Asher Palmer, who lost control of his car and crashed on to the shoulder, causing his own death and that of his baby boy.

The police initially concluded that the deaths were due to a routine traffic accident until Arutz Sheva published photographic evidence proving that the car had come under attack by rock-throwing terrorists.

The IDF apparently has carried out of strategy of minimal interference, allowing virtual anarchy on the roads, which already are dangerous due to wild driving by local villagers. Many of them drive without licenses and with cars that have no permit to be on the roads.

Palestinian academic who backed suicide attacks to speak at U.K. university

The Telegraph reports that student group is concerned about the bias of speakers at an event to be held by the Palestine Solidarity Society at Queen Mary University.

Students in the United Kingdom are protesting the upcoming speech of Azzam Tamimi at Queen Mary University, the Telegraph reported on Friday.

Tamimi has expressed support for Hamas and said that he would conduct a suicide bombing against Israel if he had "the opportunity".

Speaking to the BBC in 2004, Tamimi said that sacrificing oneself was a "noble cause".

"It is the straight way to pleasing my God and I would do it if I had the opportunity,” he said.

Tamimi, a Palestinian academic based in Britain, is to speak on Tuesday at an event called "One State or Two State Solution", hosted by the university's Palestine Solidarity Society.

The group Student Rights has expressed concerns about a number of "biased" speakers at the event.

"It is bad enough that Tamimi, a supporter of an anti-Semitic terrorist group like Hamas, should be invited onto a campus to speak, as he was at Loughborough University last November," the group said in a statement on its website. "However, what is worse is that not only will there be no balance to his hate filled views, but that the panel he will speak alongside have all declared outspoken opposition to Israel in the past.

The group also posted a response from a Queen Mary University spokeswoman.

"Freedom of expression and the sharing of ideas and beliefs are at the heart of Queen Mary’s ethos and we have a very clear policy and mechanisms to support this," that statement read.

“In making these arrangements we neither endorse nor deny the views expressed; rather we are allowing freedom of expression within the law," University Principal, Professor Simon Gaskell said.

“Furthermore, we are implicitly attributing to our university community the intelligence and powers of discrimination to judge for themselves the merits or otherwise of opinions and beliefs presented to them.”

Gaza Rockets, Arab Rioting Over the Weekend - IAF Attacks Terror Targets in Southern Gaza - Arabs Riot Over 'Temple Mount Takeover' - Four Haifa Arabs Arrested in Attack on IDF Soldiers

Source: Arutz Sheva
By David Lev

A Kassam rocket exploded Saturday evening in the Ashekelon Coast Regional Council area. No injuries or damage were reported. It was one of several rockets and mortar shells fired at Israel Saturday night. Earlier, two rockets fired by Gaza Arab terrorists fell in the same area. No physical injuries or damage were reported in those incidents as well.

There were also numerous rock throwing incidents and instances of Arab rioting over the weekend. Besides riots near the Kalandia checkpoint Saturday, Arabs threw rocks Saturday night at several Israeli buses, including one traveling near the town of Adam. Arabs also rioted in the villages of Anata and Beit Omar on Saturday.

On Friday evening Arabs threw stones at Israeli vehicles in Gush Etzion. No one was injured, but some vehicles were damaged. Arabs also threw a firebomb at IDF soldiers patrolling in the area. No one was injured in that incident either.

A report said that on Friday evening Arabs tried to sneak into the Federman ranch next to Kiryat Arba. According to the report, residents of the area detected the break-in and ran after the Arabs in an attempt to capture them. The Arabs, however, managed to escape. An investigation revealed that the infiltrators entered the ranch by climbing over a security fence. The IDF said that it had conducted an investigation into the incident, and had discovered the whereabouts of the culprits.

IAF Attacks Terror Targets in Southern Gaza

Source: Arutz Sheva
By Elad Benari

IAF aircraft attacked terror targets in Gaza on Saturday night, the IDF Spokesperson said.

According to the statement, the aircraft struck a weapon manufacturing site and a smuggling tunnel in southern Gaza.

The aircraft scored direct hits on their targets, and all aircraft safely returned to their base.

The attack came in response to the high trajectory fire into Israeli territory over the weekend. A Kassam rocket exploded earlier on Saturday evening in the Ashkelon Coast Regional Council area. No physical injuries or damage were reported.

Earlier, two rockets fired by Gaza Arab terrorists fell in the same area. No physical injuries or damage were reported in those incidents as well.

Air Force planes took out two terror targets in northern Gaza early on Friday morning. The mission took place in response to increasingly frequent rocket attacks on civilian communities in southern Israel.

The strikes came after Gaza terrorists fired multiple rockets at towns in the western Negev. The rockets sent locals running for shelter, but failed to cause physical injury.

Earlier on Thursday night the IDF was able to foil an attempted attack by hitting a terror cell as it prepared to launch a rocket at southern Israel. Two terrorists were reportedly wounded in the strike.

Arabs Riot Over 'Temple Mount Takeover'

Source: Arutz Sheva

By David Lev

Arabs rioted for a second day Saturday, at a funeral for an Arab who was allegedly killed by IDF fire. Arab sources claimed Saturday that 23-year old Talia Ramia had been killed in riots Friday, as hundreds of Arabs threw stones and attempted to attack IDF soldiers.

The riots took place near the Kalandia checkpoint north of Jerusalem as Arabs gathered to protest alleged Israeli attempts to “take over” the Temple Mount (Har Habyit). Israeli officials have stressed that there are no such plans.

Arabs claimed that IDF soldiers threw tear gas on the crowd of rioters, and also opened fire on them, killing Ramia. The IDF has not commented officially on the incident, but a spokesperson said that an investigation was underway.

Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Salam Fayyad condemned the death of Ramia, and blamed the incident on the Israeli government. He also blamed the international community for “tolerating Israeli policy against the Palestinians, which cheapens the lives of Palestinians.”

Soldiers used anti-riot tactics during Saturday's unrest, as Arabs threw stones, burned tires, and threw firebombs at IDF forces. Arab sources said that nine rioters were injured in Saturday's disturbances.

Four Haifa Arabs Arrested in Attack on IDF Soldiers

Source: Arutz Sheva
By David Lev

Police on Saturday arrested four Arabs who are accused of attempting to attack and “lynch” two IDF soldiers in Haifa.
The attack took place near Rambam Hospital in Haifa, and was fended off by the soldiers and security guards who helped defend them. The soldiers were brought to the hospital for treatment of light injuries.

Witnesses told police that one of the Arabs asked the soldiers, who were on leave from the army, if they were Jewish. The Arab was riding in a vehicle with three other suspects, and when the soldiers answered affirmatively, the other Arabs jumped out of the car and started attacking them, using sticks, metal pipes, and stones, while kicking and punching them. Witnesses added that the soldiers were struck on the head numerous times.

The soldiers called out for help, and hospital security guards came out and began fighting the Arabs. The Arabs jumped back into the car and fled, but an alert security guard was able to get the car's license plate number.

Haifa police chief Moshe Cohen told reporters that “the incident started out as an argument, apparently nationalistically motivated, with two soldiers who were wearing civilian clothes attacked. An investigation is ongoing. Four suspects have been arrested, and we expect more arrests to be made in the case,” Cohen added.
