Due to the devastating circumstances in Israel over the past 6 days, IDF Widows & Orphans Organization is determined to take immediate steps in assisting the widows and orphans of the Israeli security forces living in southern Israel.

IDF Widows & Orphans Organization is starting the process of immediately taking our women and children who are in concrete danger towards safer areas of the country, to spend the upcoming days away from the fire zone, a much needed break from continuous sirens, numerous days spent in shelters, constant stress and massive bombardment of their communities, these terrible days spent without a husband and a father with them.

Please help right now – your donation, no matter what amount is sincerely appreciated. Did you know ~ $500 will reserve a hotel room for 2 nights for 4 widows and orphans far away from danger!

About IDFWO The IDF Widows and Orphans Organization,a non-profit organization registered in Israel in 1991, is the sole organization recognized by the State of Israel, representing the widows and orphans of Israel’s fallen soldiers.

The organization's goal is to provide social, emotional and financial support to widows and orphans who have suffered the greatest loss: that of a husband and  and father. With that horrible knock on the door, the world collapses around the new widows and orphans, who then need to gather all their strength to go on living. This is where the IDFWO steps in. Our projects: Education scholarships for orphans (for academic or vocational training) Annual summer camp in the United States – designed to strengthen the bonds between our children and Jewish American children Bar/Bat Mitzvah celebration, including a visit to the President's Residence, ceremony at the Western Wall and more Mazal Tov wedding gift for orphans Special event honoring IDF orphans enlisting in the army or national service Medical assistance in cases that are not covered by the National Health Law Financial aid Emotional support Reduced-fee vacations Daytrips Commemoration and memorial activities Otzma Camps The IDFWO is a fully democratic organization. The 50 members of its general assembly are elected every four years. They then elect seven members for the Board of Directors, headed by the chairwoman, Ms. Nava Shoham. IDFWO branches are located throughout the country, addressing the needs of members in their area. Each branch has its own Board of Directors with a representative of the IDFWO.
