"We've had 1,400 rockets hit us in 8 days. No wonder why I feel so friggin' tired. I'm still not anywhere near giving up or even thinking about leaving my home. But I want anyone reading this to understand that Israel is not attacking Gaza "over nothing". We started getting missiles in Ashkelon in early 2008 when my daughter was just a few months old. She's 5 now and has never known anything different. We've been very patient but enough is enough. It's been a long week and we might be in for another. Give me strength universe!"

Since the beginning of Operation Pillar of Defense, some 1,400 rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip, 780 of which exploded in open areas and 400 of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome system.
IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz ordered IDF troops Wednesday to continue to strike terror hubs in the strip regardless of ceasefire negotiations. (Yoav Zitun)
