Tel Aviv Gay Pride has become one of the biggest events of the year in Tel Aviv with the city’s gay community coming out in force to ensure that they, and the many visitors who come from overseas have a great time and firm up the city’s reputation as the Gay Capital of the Middle East, and perhaps, one of the Gay Capitals of the World. Tel Aviv Gay Pride is a weekly event in the city, culminating on Friday June 8, 2012 with the famed pride parade.

The Tel Aviv Pride Parade begins at the Gan Meir Park which is a small park considered by some to be the center of the city’s gay community. It heads northwards through the city, passing along Bograshov Street, Ben Yehuda Street, before finally reaching Gordon Beach, one of the best beaches in Tel Aviv where the parade turns into a carnival with a big beach party taking place from 2pm into the evening.

Of course, the Gay Pride Parade is the culmination of a week’s long series of events which take over Tel Aviv for their duration. Further details will be updated here closer to the time but at this stage one highlight is:
