The annual Fresh Paint Tel Aviv Art Fair hosts 30,000 visitors each year and presents works by leading contemporary galleries and independent artists, making it one of Israel’s largest and most influential contemporary art events. Each year, the Fresh Paint fair takes place in a different location within Tel Aviv dramatically changing the dynamic and visitor experience. In 2012, the Fresh Paint Tel Aviv Art Fair, will take place between May 15-19, at the New High School Complex in Shoshana Persitz Street in the far north of the city.

Fresh Paint 2012 will be held in an interesting new complex in the north of Tel Aviv which will open as a high school later in the year. One of the key aims and successes of Fresh Paint is its ability to help launch the careers of promising artists, so alongside accomplished names are some of the greatest talents in contemporary art.

Educational series of lectures and encounters with Israeli art and artists
The Video Greenhouse by Gravity is dedicated to video art by independent artists

The fair will feature twenty-five leading contemporary art galleries: Agripas 12, Alon Segev, Bineth, Givon, Julie M, Gordon, Gordon 2, Gal-On Art Place, Dvir, Dan, Sommer, Mika, The Gottesman Etching Center – Kibbutz Cabri, Noga, Inga, Florentin 45, Contemporary by Golconda, Raw Art, Rosenfeld, Rothschild Fine Art, Chelouche, Art Station, Zemack Contemporary Art, Ermanno Tedeschi, P8


Art for sale by independent artists range from 500-10,000 NIS. The prices of works at the galleries are determined by each gallery.
The Igal Ahouvi Art Collection will award the Most Promising Artist with an award of 40,000 NIS and a solo exhibition at the following year’s fair
This year, Natalia Zourabova, winner of the award at Fresh Paint 4 (2011) will show new paintings and an animation piece.
As part of Sotheby’s Under the Hammer choice at the fair, one work by an independent artist will be selected for the Israeli art auction in New York.

The location of the 2012 Fresh Paint Art Fair is in the new high school complex at 3 Shoshana Persitz Street, Tel Aviv


Parking is available on site; details regarding bus lines can be found on the fair’s website.


For the duration of the fair, the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality will operate a “Tel-O-Fun” bike rental station on site, as a service to the visitors.

Tuesday – Thursday 15-17/5/12, 17:00-22:00
Friday 18/5/12, 10:00-18:00
Saturday 19/5/12, 10:00-21:00


Entry fees:
General Admission: 40 NIS.
Admission for Tel Aviv residents: 32 NIS with a valid resident card or Maximum Tel Aviv card
