Hundreds gather at Schalit tent ahead of 25th birthday

Schalit family releases video album of pictures from kidnapped IDF soldier's childhood ahead of birthday.

Several hundred people gathered at the Schalit family's protest tent across from the Prime Minister's Residence in Jerusalem on Friday to welcome the Sabbath ahead of kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Schalit's 25th birthday on Sunday.

On the occasion of Schalit's birthday, a video album of photographs from Schalit's childhood was released by his family. The final photograph shown is of Schalit reading a message while in Hamas captivity from 2009. "This must not be the last picture of Gilad. We must bring Gilad back home," is displayed across the screen after the picture of the captured Schalit fades.
