Weaponry, Ammunition Uncovered on Arab Boat, Dead Sea - IDF Ordnance Corps - Kfir Infantry Brigade

On July 23rd (2011), the IDF and Israel Police thwarted an attempt by two Palestinians to smuggle weapons from Jordan to the Judea and Samaria Region. A rubber-inflated boat carrying ten AK-47s, ten magazines and approximately 300 matching bullets along with the Palestinian suspects, was apprehended by the IDF and Police in the Dead Sea.

The two Palestinians on-board will be questioned by Israeli security forces.

ORDNANCE CORPS BERET 
The Israeli Defense Forces' Ordnance Corps is a combat-support corps, responsible for the development and maintaining of the equipment needed by other forces within the Israel Defense Force to complete their missions. 
These include restoring and adding new defenses to armored vehicles and providing spare parts for vehicles and machinery.

Kfir Brigade is the youngest Infantry Corps brigade in the Israel Defense Forces.



Recruits are trained in chemical warfare, urban combat, advanced weaponry and fighting from armored vehicles. The brigade's specializes in high profile counter-terror operations, arrests of terrorists, patrols, manning checkpoints and regular security activities.
