During his upcoming visit to Israel, American broadcaster Glenn Beck will address the delegitimization campaign against Israel and its effects on college campuses in the Diaspora, Israel National News has learned.
Beck, who arrives in Israel on Monday, will address the Knesset’s Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs Committee and speak about how the international media, with its biased anti-Israel reports, is a factor in the great anti-Semitism in the Diaspora, especially in college campuses.
He is also expected to tell the committee members that the Israeli Government needs to work very closely with media which is pro-Israel in order to stop the delegitimization of Israel.
Beck has been a constant champion of Israel. Hevisited the Temple Mount earlier this year and has announced a “Restoring Courage” rally
in Jerusalem on August 24.
Earlier this week it was reported that Beck, along with MK Danny Danon (Likud), plans to ascend the Temple Mount as part of his visit. Danon is the head of the Knesset’s Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs Committee, and will be co-hosting Beck’s visit along with MK Nissim Zeev (Shas).
IsraelNationalNews has also learned that the idea to bring the pro-Israel Beck for a visit to the Holy Land first came up three years ago at the annual Ateret Cohanim dinner, when long-time Zionist activists Dr. Joe Frager and Dr. Paul Brody introduced Beck.
After the introduction, Frager, who is also the long-time organizer of the annual Israel Day concert/rally in New York, suggested bringing Glenn Beck for a visit to Israel.
Frager and Brody, along with Odeleya Jacobs, have worked with several Knesset members on important projects to strengthen Israel’s image in the Diaspora and to stop the delegitimization of Israel in the media.
Several months ago, they organized a visit to Israel by Former Arkansas Governor and possible Republican presidential candidate, Mike Huckabee.

The first conference exploring all the practical aspects of asserting Israeli sovereignty, including Jewish, Zionist, political, diplomatic, economic and legal ramifications, as well as Arab-Israeli, American-Israeli relations, will take place on Thursday, July 21st at the Cave of the Patriarchs visitor’s center in Hebron.
The conference is organized by Women for Israel’s Tomorrow (Women in Green), with the cooperation of Arutz 7, Professors for a Strong Israel, and the Machpela (Cave of the Patriarchs, ed.) Visitor’s Center.
Participating in the conference are MK Tzipi Hotovely, Caroline Glick, Yoram Ettinger, Professor Rafi Yisraeli, Eran Bar-Tal, Att. Elyakim Haetzni and Dr Gabi Avital.
MK Tzipi Hotovely recently toured Arab Jerusalem with the Likud Anglos, and discussed the plan she intends to bring to the Knesset on the expansion of Jerusalem’s municipal borders. She has also gone on record saying that a Palestinian state will spark more violence.
Caroline Glick has the unique ability to weave together world events to present an accurate and enlightening holistic understanding of Israel and the entire world with a very refreshing backdrop of Jewish pride, dignity and strength. She is the deputy managing editor of The Jerusalem Post, is interviewed often for the Hebrew Arutz Sheva site, is the chief diplomatic correspondent for the Hebrew-language Makor Rishon newspaper, a senior fellow for Middle East affairs at a Washington D.C.-based center for security policy, and the creator of the website parody on Israeli politics, Latma.
Ambassador (ret.) Yoram Ettinger is a consultant on US affairs, as well as former Minister for Congressional Affairs and former Consul General in Houston, Texas.
Nadia Matar, who will chair the conference along with Yehudit Katsover of Hevron, founded Women in Green to fight for the belief that the Land of Israel, including the West Bank and Gaza, was promised to and belongs to the Jewish People. She fights for the right of all Jews to live and flourish throughout Judea and Samaria, which she calls the "heart of the Jewish Homeland and the cradle of Jewish history".
Nadia Matar provided Arutz Sheva with this description of Women in Green's activities:
Since its inception in 1993, Women in Green's slogan has been "The Land of Israel for the People of Israel".
After the expulsion from Gush Katif, the focus of activities changed from demonstrations to creating facts on the ground.
Women in Green succeeded in bringing about the return of the IDF to the abandoned army base of Shdema between Jerusalem and Gush Etzion, preventing the strategically-located base from falling into the hands of the PA.
For the past several years, Women in Green has been safeguarding state lands in Netzer, Judea, from Arab encroachment by planting hundreds of trees on land that would otherwise have been illegally taken over by Arabs, who do this as part of a well-funded and well organized campaign to choke Jewish settlement and grab as much State land as possible.
Judea and Samaria is the physical as well as political nexus of the ongoing battle for Israel's survival and Women in Green is situated right there, in the heart of the struggle. The upcoming conference in Hevron on July 21st will discuss the alternative so many in the national camp year for: Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria.
INN will provide coverage of the conference.
