Why does Hamas get away with using residential areas as military zone? - Hamas looks the other way as rockets pound into Southern Israel

Over the last few days the circle of violence in Gaza and Southern Israel escalated. This morning Beer Sheva was attacked with two Grad rockets causing injuries and panic while damaging a number of buildings including a synagogue.

Beer Sheva, home to 186,000 people, is about 40 kilometres from Gaza, much further than the Israeli cities regularly targeted by Palestinian militants. This is the 2nd attack of this kind since operation Cast Lead 2 years ago.
In the course of IDF efforts to thwart the attacks on Israel, several Palestinians were killed in Gaza yesterday. The reason they were killed is Hamas' intentional use of residential areas as rocket launching pads.
Why does Hamas get away with using civilians as Human Shields? Using civilians as means to achieve military goals is considered a war crime – where are the Human Rights Organizations? Contact Human Rights Watch and Amensty International NOW and demand they condemn Hamas for using civilians as human shields.
All of us in Giyus.org hope for peace but as long as Hamas is in control of Gaza Israel has no choice but to protect its citizens from rocket attacks.

Rocket attacks on Israel have escalated over the weekend, as one IDF soldier was killed and several soldiers and civilians were injured in clashes with Palestinian terrorists.

The al-Quds Brigades, the militant arm of the Islamic Jihad group, took responsibility for the shootings. Hamas is looking the other way, allowing smaller terrorist groups to test how far Israel will go in its response.
Here is a summary of the events:
  • On Friday evening, An IDF force identified several Palestinian militants planting explosive devices near the fence in the Central Gaza Strip. The soldiers reacted by firing towards the Palestinian terrorists. For a reason that is still unclear, one of the shells deviated from its course and hurt IDF soldiers. Sgt. Nadav Rotenberg was killed and an other IDF officer was moderately injured. Three other IDF soldiers were lightly wounded during the incident.

  • 3 foreign workers were injured when a mortar fired from the Gaza Strip exploded in the Sha'ar Hanegev region. One of the foreign workers was in moderate-serious condition from shrapnel injuries to his chest. A second foreign worker was moderately wounded by shrapnel in his leg and a third was lightly wounded in the incident.

  • At least three Qassam rockets were fired at southern Israel Saturday evening, wounding a truck driver lightly. The truck driver was hurt by glass shreds after driving near the rocket landing site.
It's been slighly more than 2 years since Israel launched operation "Cast Lead" and Hamas is increasing the fire slowly but surely.
Wishing you all a peaceful week...
