Jaffa: Masked assailant stabs soldier, tries to steal gun

Man attempts to take reserve soldier's weapon, injuring him slightly to moderately; police searching area for suspect who escaped.

An unknown masked assailant stabbed the soldier in his chest. A Magen David Adom team treated the victim on the scene before evacuating him to Icholov hospital in moderate to light condition.

Around 8 am Sunday morning, on Rehov Yehuda Yamit in Jaffa near Shavtei Israel, a young man attempted to grab the reserve soldier's weapon and stabbed him. The  suspect escaped without the weapon.

Police were searching for the suspect in the area and               investigating the circumstances of the incident.
