Protests were held at several locations in Jerusalem, including the entrance to the city, the Angel junction and the Begin highway. Police were present and police helicopters hovered overhead.
The 'Cross-Binyamin' highway was blocked to Arab traffic near Neve Tzuf, until police used force to clear the protesters from the road. Other protests were held in junctions throughout Samaria.
Speaking from the Knesset podium Monday, National Union party chairman MK Yaakov Katz (Ketzaleh) held up bullets from a pneumatic gun that were fired at the residents of Havat Gilad earlier in the day. He called them "Marmara bullets," in a reference to in which naval commandos took over a ship full of violent Turkish terror supporters. The commandosused paintball guns, which are also a form of pneumatic gun.
Ketzaleh said the police's use of guns against Jews is unprecedented since the days of the Altalena – the Etzel ship fired upon at the orders of David Ben-Gurion in 1948. "This is a deliberate policy by Netanyahu against 350,000 residents of Judea and Samaria," he said. Holding up the magazine that stored the bullets, he noted that it carried a warning that the bullets could be lethal.
MK Yariv Levin (Likud) said that "deployment of masked police using rubber bullets to evict Jews is a cowardly event." He demanded that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu promise not to let such events happen again.
