The Anti-Defamation league honored media mogul K. Rupert Murdoch for his "stalwart support of Israel" and for his speaking out against anti-Semitism, the New York-based organization said.Murdoch received the ADL International Leadership Award at a dinner in New York on Wednesday. In his acceptance remarks, Murdoch described an "ongoing war against the Jews" and efforts to "delegitimize" Israel.
"The battle ground is everywhere -- the media, multinational organizations" and non-governmental organizations, he said. "In this war, the aim is to make Israel a pariah." Murdoch said the United States should stand by its ally, Israel, and that the White House should not distance itself from Israel to gain credibility in the Muslim world.
