Ramallah - Palestine Press - sources confirmed that the Palestinian security forces recently seized a large weapons depot in Ramallah, an affiliate of the Hamas movement, incorporates automatic weapons and rockets, which necessitated the intervention of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the situation.

The nature of the weapons and the quantities that have been discovered by the Palestinian security forces angered the Palestinian leadership that had been preparing for a Fatah delegation headed by Azzam al-Ahmed and security experts in Damascus for a meeting with Hamas on Wednesday to discuss the node security file, which was to prevent the signing of Hamas papers in order to reconcile and end the Palestinian division, supported by Egypt.

Large quantities of weapons have been seized, which were stored by the Hamas movement in Ramallah. Abbas and the central committee of Fatah now doubt Hamas' intentions and seriousness to achieve Palestinian reconciliation.

A spokesman for the Palestinian security forces, Major General Adnan, says Thursday's, seized weapons belonging to Hamas, will be revealed upon the end of the investigation:

"Palestinian security forces seized large quantities of weapons stored by Hamas, against the Palestinian Authority. It is questionable whether the targets are the leaders of the Palestinian National Authority or for political power?"

When asked about the armoury recently found in Ramallah, the capital's political and economic power, it was said that there was a contents of shells' RPG. There are automatic weapons also - a seized cache of weapons.

When asked whether the amount of weapons that have been found were planted by Hamas to carry out military operations in the West Bank and against the authority, authorities said: "The investigation clearly indicates that the leadership of Hamas, has threatened to do so and talked about that,  trying to target the Palestinian National Authority and also seeking to attain political power '.

The Al-Qassam Brigades - the military wing of Hamas - two weeks ago has threatened to prosecute the leaders of the Palestinian Authority, 'Hamas continues pursuing elements of the resistance and the trial in the prisons of the security services in the West Bank.

The threat came from Abu Obeida spokesman for the Qassam Brigades in a statement read during a press conference on behalf of the 12 military factions in Gaza, said, "Enough is enough of the practices of the security services in the West Bank, raising questions about the last period of reconciliation efforts.  But we say today that our silence will not last, though the persistence of these devices in its aggression to put an end to this silence, if it were not  for reconciliation efforts, we will finish the issue of prosecution of the mujahideen and their trial and detention. No one should blame us (Hamas) if we pursue signs of Fatah power in all the places and the existence of reciprocity '.

In light of threats by the al-Qassam Brigades against the Authority and the Fatah leadership earlier this month by 'Al Quds Al Arabi' said Thursday that, "The Palestinian security establishment is working according to law".  When asked about his view of the security services for the success of Hamas in the storage quantity of weapons in Ramallah, he said, "First, we are working towards the dictates of law and the interests of our people, which prevent the acquisition of weapons illegally, trade of weapons and arms smuggling and illegal possession." Pointing out that the weapons that were seized in Ramallah are stored in populated areas, warning of the dangers of storing weapons in residential areas, pointing to an explosion, which occurred Wednesday in Gaza in the training center for Hamas in a residential areas, wounding 13 people including 5 children and women, and said, "This expresses clearly the intention of storing weapons in the densely populated neighbourhoods. It is unacceptable because of the victims in several areas in the Gaza Strip ".
