Israel is a world leader in the development, design and production of innovative medical devices, tools and systems, which require in-depth, multidisciplinary understanding and technological know-how. Israel is known for its vast R&D activities in this field, both in industry and academic institutions. * The Medical Devices Design & Manufacturing Israel exhibition and conference is the major, in fact the only platform for electronic development, outsourcing and service provision for companies that design and manufacture medical equipment, from start-ups to medical equipment giants. * The conference and exhibition are the outcome of a collaboration between Technologies Group Israel, the Haifa Municipality Business Development Department, and a group of medical equipment entrepreneurs based in Haifa, leaders in medical devices design and innovation. * The objective of the exhibition is to provide decision makers from medical device companies a venue in which to meet diverse potential partners or suppliers from relevant fields and enable them to explore which companies best suit their needs. The exhibition will also provide small service providers an opportunity to introduce their skills and experience, which are often the most suitable for the development of a product targeted specifically for the medical device market. Exhibitors include, among others: Engineering companies: software, design and manufacturing tools, component suppliers and test equipment suppliers; service providers in the field of pre clinical and clinical trials; consultants in the fields of regulation, quality control, intellectual property, business development and strategy. During the exhibition a professional conference will take place on the development of medical devices, that will include guest lectures by Israel’s leading industry executives: Prof. Rafi Beyar, Director, Rambam Medical Center: A view of the operating room in the year 2020. Dr. Guido Pardo Roques, General Manager, Philips Medical Systems Technologies, and Chairman of the Association of Electronics Industries’ Medical Equipment Forum:Development of medical equipment and the supporting environment. Dr. Nissim Darwish, Senior Managing Director, OrbiMed Israel: Investments in medical devices from OrbiMed Israel’s perspective.
